The artworks in Revolution from Without... remind us of the revolutionary movements that advanced human rights and are a voice that urges us to carry on these movements. Existing power structures determine entitlement and exclusion of people; however, this exhibition suggests that social and political change can be motivated by conditions of being without: without rights, without capital, without representation.

Why Go?

This social movement art exhibition features works that echo the powerful historical movements toward human rights and address the truth of current political conditions through protest and activist art.

The exhibition is presented by The Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation and features artists Tania Bruguera, Tony Cokes, Chto Delat, Raqs Media Collective, Kameelah Janan Rasheed, Dread Scott, and Mark Wallinger.
